InfoLayout helps you organize and maintain the catalog of your CDs, hard drives, removable media and network disks.

InfoLayout's Key Features include:

• Full-text search over CD/DVD (or hard drive if you prefer to add local files to catalog). Archived files can be indexed as well. Full-featured search by content, file names, mp3 tags and other file properties. Phrase, keyword, proximity, wildcard search supported.


• Thumbnails for images and video files. During adding files and folders to catalog, InfoLayout generates thumbnails so you can look through your pictures without touch to CD-ROM. Snippets of documents can be added to catalog as well.


• Flexible catalog organizing to give your collection the desired structure. Virtual folders, that can contain virtually unlimited number of any nested catalog items, can be moved and reoraganized on your need. catalog items.


• Hierarchical categories to let you select any random items in your collection. They may act as universal instrument for fine-tuning catalog items and giving them additional info. For example, using categories, you can easely mark any catalog item as 'out of date', 'lend to a friend' and 'needs to be reviewed'. Moreover, assigning categories on mp3 items (for example assigning 'Best Hit' category) can help you to find music quickly and without flipping your CD-shelfs.


• Processing of the most popular archives. InfoLayout adds information about files in archives in catalog and they can be viewed as any other catalog item. You do not need more to extract archive just to browse its contents. InfoLayout can add description, categories to these archived files like for any other catalog item.


• Automatic importing of file and folder descriptions from description files (such as descript.ion and files.bbs), folder descriptions (such as file_id.diz). No more need to manually add descriptions if they are already exist - InfoLayout makes this for you.


• Optimized copying files from multiple disks, you won't have to search for the same disk twice. InfoLayout can copy files from any sources like network, CD and DVD disks, hard drives - they just need to be added in catalog.


• Audio discs support. InfoLayout correctly recognizes audio, mixed and data disks when adds them to catalog. For audio disks it can retrieve information from freedb/CDDB database. Like no other, InfoLayout allows to choose right disk if several matches found in database. This makes music cataloging with InfoLayout effective.


• Importing mp3 tags. Support for IDv1 and IDv2 tags. InfoLayout not only imports all information from mp3 files, but also can perform search either by individual fields (like artist or album) or by their combination.


• Flexible reports generation. InfoLayout allows to fully customize report content. Group your catalog items by any property (or even by several of them), define sorting and properties to be shown in report. InfoLayout can generate hyperlinks in URL reports. So it turns reports into automatically created links page that you can put directly on your home site.


• Storing network addresses (URLs) in the catalog along with files' information. Why use several programs if InfoLayout can do both things: store information about files and store URLs in one catalog. This way you will never forget from where you have downloaded a file.
